Against The Odds Joins Groundbreaking Digital Gambling Observatory Project
Against The Odds has joined a UK-wide research partnership led by the University of Edinburgh and the University of Salford to help design a Digital Gambling Observatory, exploring how digital platforms, AI, advertising and emerging technologies are shaping gambling-related experiences for young adults.

Against The Odds is proud to be a project partner in the Digital Gambling Observatory, a new research programme led by the University of Edinburgh in partnership with the University of Salford.

The project aims to better understand the digital environments young adults experience every day, exploring how gambling, gaming, social media, AI, digital advertising and gambling-like products are becoming increasingly interconnected.

During this first phase, partners will work together to design what a future Digital Gambling Observatory could look like, with young adults helping to map these digital ecosystems through a series of co-design workshops.

Against The Odds will contribute frontline insight from our work across education, elite sport and lived experience-led prevention, ensuring young people's experiences help shape future research, prevention and policy.

We're excited to be working alongside the University of Edinburgh, the University of Salford and a range of national partners on a project that has the potential to improve our understanding of the rapidly evolving digital environments young adults are navigating every day.
