Back up north in Barnsley, delivering workshops at Oakwell Stadium.

Since our previous session, it’s been great to see members of that cohort — including Vimal Yoganathan and Jonathan Bland — progress into regular first-team football, with a number of others also making their breakthrough in the EFL under former Villa midfielder & first team gaffer, Conor Hourihane. 

The session explored how gambling is normalised within elite sporting environments, using real-life examples to spark discussion and critical thinking. These included interviews with Mitch Clark of Port Vale, alongside former Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Steven Caulker, offering honest insight into the pressures and risks that can come with the professional game.
